About the Job

The Celect team is passionate about bringing truly innovative products to the market. We are focused on building something which solves a big problem in a way never done before while delivering an exceptional customer experience. As a Data Science Engineer at Celect, you will be a key member of the Engineering team, responsible for connecting state of the art Machine Learning and Optimization techniques to product development and customer needs. Your work will have a direct impact on the success of our products and tools.   • Python based environment for agile development
  • Can translate business problems and solutions into algorithms and production level code
  • Knowledge and some experience in statistical inference/machine learning modeling
  • Demonstrated ability to use machine learning tools in Python, programming experience in other languages a strong plus
  • 2+ years experience building software algorithms, can write clean, well-organized, and efficient code and code libraries
  • Test code to ensure it produces the desirable results and preform debugging
  • Document new development, procedures or test plans as needed
  • Desired: experience with constraint optimization problems, random forests, regression and time-series analysis


  • BS or MS degree in computer science, engineering, statistics, or another quantitative field.
  • 4+ years experience after BS or 2+ years experience after MS
  • Strong Python programming language required
  • Ability to identify problems, and effectively communicate solutions to team
  • Ability to work in a dynamic multi-team environment as well as independently
  • A nice to have: Spark
